For many couples, it can become difficult to connect for one reason or another. I am committed to delivering culturally competent, affirming, and sex-positive care to all couples. It is my hope that through our work together, we can explore and understand difficult issues that are arising in your relationships in order to work toward positive change.

Family Therapy

If difficult dynamics are occurring within your family, I am here to help. I utilize a combination of communication skills and relational techniques, that can aid you in working through conflicts, grief, and other struggles. This may also help you navigate and understand difficult interpersonal problems that might be playing out in other relationships as well.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

If you are struggling with past trauma in the form of intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, nightmares, or sensations, EMDR might be a good fit for you. It is a type of therapy treatment that works to lessen the power of negative memories. The theory behind EMDR is that when something traumatic happens, it seems to get locked in the brain with the original picture, sounds, thoughts, feelings. Since the experience is locked there, it can become triggered whenever reminders come up. EMDR uses sets of eye movements which work to unlock the system and allow your brain to fully process the experience.
